We were looking for a relaxing getaway after several months of wedding planning and moving. This was it! I told my now husband that I wanted a fireplace, a hot tub, a king-size bed, and pretty scenery. This chalet had it all! The leaves in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan are so vibrant in the fall. We hope to return someday.

The cabin was cozy and clean and we enjoyed many activities at the Resort. Our favorites were the golf cart rental and the Skybridge. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub at the cabin too. We attempted to stay away from the casinos that were not far away, however we did happen to end up at a few!

The cabin is beautiful and well situated on the slope. This is our second time staying here, and we'll be back. Two pieces of advice though: Until the property owners supply better pots and pans, be sure to bring your own if you plan to cook. The pots and pans are in very bad condition. Also be sure to heed their advice to park at the top of the driveway. The driveway is steep and not passable if there is any snow, sleet, or ice. We learned the hard way but luckily had four strong teenage boys on hand. :-)

The cabin we stayed in was simply beautiful. The rooms, the decor, the view. This home did not fall short. Our entire group agreed that this was one of the most beautiful places to vacation that we have ever been and we do these kinds of trips a lot. We can't thank you enough for sharing your home with us. When we arrived we tried to use the hot tub the first night and unfortunately the water was just too hot for us, but we did enjoy sitting with our legs in it. I called the next morning and was given great advice to get it to cool down and by that evening we were loving every minute of it (along with an amazing view). If you are looking for a wonderful getaway with amazing response time, look no further, you have found it in this home.

This is the property you want to rent! Location is perfect. Not too close to any other cabins. Cabin was perfectly cleaned and well maintained. Property Managers were excellent to work with. Received emails in a timely manner and what to expect before our arrival and departure. Less than 10 minute drive to main lodge/avalanche bay. This place can easily sleep 9-10 people with extra room.

Fantastic trip. Very easy to get to the slopes. Cabin is perfect and had all amenities. Kitchen outfitted very well. Great layout--adults by the fire, teenagers downstairs in their own fun space. Only issue is the driveway. This is not a complaint--just an FYI to future visitors. Park at the top and walk the few feet down to the cabin. No big deal at all. The driveway doesn't look very steep, but it is for winter weather. Also make sure you have suitable winter tires to get to the Mountain Cabins area.

All in all it was a good trip with a few hiccups. 1st day the fire detector kept beeping. Repairs made next day. Short a set of sheets for one bed, ants in kitchen and flush valve on lower toilet was plastic and broke off. When we called everything was taken care of. Place is nice, just think some preventative maintenance should be done few times a year. Hated to bother them but few things were necessary. They however were very nice and quick to respond. Cabin #829 was the perfect vacation getaway for our group. The interior was exactly what we were looking for...a true cabin feel! Plenty of space, a great view, and the management was so nice to work with. The hot tub on the back deck was a wonderful perk. The view was beautiful! We used the shuttle to get to the main area for when we wanted to go skiing and that was a very nice service. Overall, everything was simply wonderful!

Our family (6 adults and 5 grandchildren) had a fantastic vacation staying at cabin 829! The cleaning crew could have done a better job leaving (soap, trash bags, TP) supplies for more than one night! The grill worked great, but grates were rusty, so bring your own aluminum foil! We loved the warm Deer Lake! Loved our day at Mackinaw Island, and also enjoyed different beaches and picked cherries!

Cabin was very nice and clean with beautiful view. Hot tub made the vacation. Several light bulbs were out. Coffee maker took 45 minutes to brew one pot. Boyne does not do a good job of keeping the road drivable and we could not get to the cabin because it was too slick to get up the hill - had to be transported by shuttle.

We had a great stay at Cabin 829. Danielle helped straighten out some problems with the web site when I was booking. The cabin was clean and towels and paper products plentiful. 2 lamps didn't work and we could have used extra trash bags (minor issues). There was good WIFI but no one had phone service while in the cabin. A little scary if there would have been an emergency. I can see why the steep hill it is on would be rough in winter, but in summer, no problem. It's a little hard to find. There is a sign pointing to the cabin on the road near it that says Cabin Dr. We used the grill(a little rusty but worked)and the hot tub. We love Boyne Mt and Deer Lake (kayaks and sailboat). There is a lot to do for all ages. On one cool day the kids went to the Water park from 4-9. They liked the free smores and chair lift at the main lodge.
