While the cabin does not include air conditioning, there are ceiling fans throughout, and the screened windows welcome in the fresh woodland breezes to keep things comfortable during the warmer months. 

Grab your favorite drink and settle in by the wood-burning fireplace for great conversation or a quiet evening with a good book. The cabin is fully stocked for cooking and features a large picnic table on the front porch—an ideal spot for outdoor meals or evening cookouts under the trees.

We loved this rental cabin. It is off the beaten track, but close to attractions and restaurants. There is a nice upstairs bedroom suite with a small balcony and bathroom, and two bedrooms with a full bath downstairs. Internet is a bit spotty, but manageable. I loved the indigenous decor. Very comfortable for us for a weekday getaway.

We rented the cabin for a stay with our three kids, and it couldn't have been better. The cabin was spotless, the beds super comfortable and gave us the space we needed to spread out. This cabin was perfect for our needs! It had a great location that gave my husband and son easy access to skiing and snowboarding at Nubs Knob, Boyne Highlands, and Boyne Mountain; I had easy access to wonderful hiking and cross-country skiing trails. The cabin's setting in the woods was so peaceful, and it was great to have a cozy fire in the fireplace each night after our outdoor adventures were done.

We had a great time at this rustic hideaway. We attended blissfest and did multiple bike rides on the Little Traverse Wheelway. The cabin was just as described. We will definitely stay again! Great location to get away from the crowds.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Glad the fans were there, we couldn't turn the air conditioning down and it was hot outside and 77 degrees inside, so we had the windows open some of the time. We enjoyed not being around a ton of other people, being secluded and having a comfortable place to sleep at night. We got engaged on a Wednesday in front of the yellow door on the shed. The shed was adorable and perfect spot for our engagement!

We spent three nights at the cabin to explore the Dark Sky Preserve and Wilderness State Park. It is a beautiful spot, surrounded by trees. The cabin is very well maintained and thoughtfully decorated. I recommend bringing your own cooking knives, as the ones in the cabin were extremely dull. Otherwise, an impeccable choice for a weekend getaway in the woods!
