This is a great cottage for groups as each bedroom has its own bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and we all appreciated the large dining table for meals and games! The lower level was quite chilly as the windows and doors were drafty! It was VERY cold and windy outside though and the thick curtains, small space heater, and wonderful fireplace helped! The upstairs stayed cozy throughout the stay! With the curtains closed at all times to keep the warmth in, it felt dark! Some brighter light sources would help in the winter months, but I imagine it's wonderful in all the other seasons! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the large spaces that enabled 9 adults to hang out, eat together, and watch the Winter Olympics in the evening. The kitchen was fully stocked and we appreciated that soaps, dishwashing and laundry detergent were provided and that there were place settings and glassware for 10! We wished there was space allotted for storing food pantry items as the counter space is quite small for preparing meals! It was less than 15 minutes from the ski hills too so that was wonderful! We would love to stay at the Oden House on future trips!

Excellent stay. We had 7 adults for a wine tasting trip. Location was a short drive to Petoskey, grocery store, and a few wineries. We took full advantage of the beautiful view off the front porch at the lake. There was plenty of seating for everyone no matter which room we were in, including the front porch. Beds were very comfortable and each person or couple could set their own temperature in their room. We would happily stay here again and could easily add another couple to the mix!

Family of 9 stayed at this property over holidays. Ample room to spreadout and everyone had their own bedroom. Road noise at night is a bit load, but we were aware prior to staying and planned accordingly.

This was our third stay and would come back again. The bedroom/bathroom setup is ideal for a large group. Lots of privacy and personal space inside the house and a great yard and deck to spread out. Very comfortable. The property management company is easy to work with and extremely responsive.

Our group of 8 adults and a toddler had a marvelous family get-together here. The property managers were superb in communication, both before and during our stay. They provided items we asked about, and there was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, and laundry detergent. The owners scheduled to have the roof replaced after our checkout and the property managers worked with us and our parking arrangements for delivery of the roofing supplies.
Each bedroom having at least its own half-bath was very convenient, and the home was spotless. We enjoyed the proximity to nature preserves, wineries, breweries, and Mackinac Island (only 1/2 hour to the ferry). If it had been warmer, water sports were also nearby. The house had lots of space where we could all spread out or gather together. Two of our group had to work remotely and the wifi met their needs. This was such a great place and experience - I would highly recommend it!

We had a pleasant weekend at the house and service was very responsive to our questions.
The big advantage to the home is a private room and bathroom which we loved. Two did not have showers but there was one in hall. Everyone loved that.
It is an older property and could use some outside work. But the charming wrap around porch made it nice on a beautiful March weekend.
The place was clean except for two things we brought up to the owners. They promised to follow up on our concerns.
It is a nice property for a group of 10. We enjoyed our stay. Kids want to come back next year.

Enchanting stay in this beautiful, spacious yet cozy home. A separate bathroom for all five bedrooms which was amazing for this group of eight women traveling for a winter getaway. Everything we needed was available. We will be back!

Six friends and I spent five days in this lovely house. The kitchen was well appointed, the porch and backyard were comfortable and the fireplace made evenings at home feel cozy. The busy road in front of the house is a challenge.

We had 8 people in our party for part of our stay. Check-in was easy and well defined. All the spaces including the bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen is well equipped too. The large dining table is great for larger groups as well as the many bathrooms. The location suited our party perfectly. One thing some may find somewhat annoying is the traffic noise if you are on the front porch or in the front bedroom at certain times of the day. No problem in the rest of the rooms.Beautiful unecumbered view of Crooked Lake plus a welcome bike/walking trail to the rear of the property. Overall, we found the property to be excellent and highly recommend it. Additionally, Also Vacation Properties were very responsive to our needs.

Overall great location. We went to Petoskey, Charlevoix, Mackinac Island snd Harbor Springs. All within a very close drive.
House was of sufficient size. We were 3 couples celebrating 75th and 70th birthdays.
The couch in the living room and the front porch furniture need to be replaced. Individual rocking chairs would be great. Living room couch seating was about a foot from the floor. Very difficult to get out of. Carpeting in bedrooms needs deep cleaning or replacement.
The kitchen was quite sufficient. We cooked a few meals in and had everything needed. The dining room was a great size.
Unfortunately we were so tired at night we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit. The backyard was very large and fenced
Management was very responsive for 2 small problems we had.

Property is in a great location and spacious; good communication with Vacation Properties staff as had a water issue one morning-corrected right away. Bathrooms for all bedrooms were a plus, and mattresses were great. The only things I'd note was the lack of closet space and property exterior needs some sprucing up.
